Cabbage Gratin Recipe

Yummy even if you're not a cabbage lover.

Recipe Ingredients for Cabbage Gratin

1/4 cups dry bread crumbs
6 cups shredded cabbage
2 eggs
1 cup skim milk
3/4 cups shredded cheddar cheese
2 T. corn starch
1/2 t. seasoning salt
1/4 t. pepper

Recipe Directions for Cabbage Gratin

  1. Butter an 8x8 baking dish and dust with all but 1 tablespoons of the bread crumbs.

  2. Bring large pot of salted water to a boil and boil cabbage for 5 minutes.

  3. Drain cabbage and squeeze out excess moisture.

  4. Whisk together eggs, milk, corn starch, salt, pepper, and mustard.

  5. Add 1/2 cup cheese to above mixture.

  6. Fold in cabbage.

  7. Put in prepared baking dish and top with remaining bread crumbs and cheese.

  8. Bake for 40 minutes at 375 degrees.
