My improved version of cabbage rolls as it allows me to use more cabbage and less meat and rice...

Recipe Ingredients for Cabbage dish in a bowl

1/2 cup brown basmati rice
1 lbs ground chicken
5 cups cabbage
710 ml tomato juice
285 ml tomato soup
1 large onion

Recipe Directions for Cabbage dish in a bowl

  1. Cut the onion in small pieces

  2. Slice the cabbage so you have app. 5 cups of the stuff

  3. Mix the rice, the lean ground chicken, the cabbage and the onion togheter

  4. Put in a pot and cover with tomato juice and tomato soup. You might need to add some water (max 3/4cup). If this isn't enought add more tomato juice.

  5. Cook for about an hour and add salt and pepper to taste before serving.

  6. PS: I usually serve this dish in bowls as it is more "juicy" than the original version. Enjoy!
