Low fat zone balanced Cabbage and Chicken Soup

Recipe Ingredients for Cabbage and Chicken Soup

1 head cabbage
6 large onions
4 bell peppers
1/2 cup green onions
2 cups Celery
1 head cauliflower
12 oz diced zucchini
36 oz Muir Glen no salt tomato sauce
28 oz Muir Glen crushed canned
7 grams lipton onion soup mix
2 chicken bouillon cubes (152304)
1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
24 oz white meat chicken

Recipe Directions for Cabbage and Chicken Soup

  1. Rough chop cabbage

  2. Chop all vegetables

  3. Cut chicken into 1 " cubes, season and let sit (I use a spicy cajun and preferrably overnight)

  4. Add vegetables and all ingredients except chicken to stock pot

  5. Bring to a boil

  6. Add chicken, return to a boil, reduce heat to a low simmer for one hour.

  7. Note: Use all reduced or sodium free ingrediants for a more heart smart recipe
