Recipe Ingredients for cabbage casserole

1 head cabbage
1 lb lean ground beef
1/2 cup bell pepper
1/2 cup onion
16 oz crushed tomatoes

Recipe Directions for cabbage casserole

brown beef, onions and peppers until cooked. Stir in tomatoes, salt, pepper and garlic. simmer for 15 minutes. Cook cabbage by boiling or frying. Drain cabbage. Arrange in 9 x 13 in pan, pour beef mixture over cabbage. Bake in oven 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes. Sprinkle 3 oz shredded cheese over casserole (optional). Let sit until melted. Serve immediately.
