Moroccan fava bean dip. Rich - can be made with less oil.

Recipe Ingredients for Byesar

8 oz Dry Favas
4 clove Garlic
1 tsp Cumin
6 tbsp Olive Oil
1 tbsp Salt, Table
1/4 tsp Cayenne
0.17 tablespoon Oregano
0.17 tablespoon thyme
0.17 tablespoon Marjoram

Recipe Directions for Byesar

  1. Soak, then skin the beans

  2. Cook with the garlic and cumin.

  3. Drain, reserving the water, and puree.

  4. Beat in the olive oil and salt, and enough water to make a runny (soupy) puree when warm.

  5. Before serving, reheat, beating frequently.

  6. To serve, pour in bowl, sprinkle with cayenne and herbs. Serve with bread, preferably moroccan or pita.
