Recipe Ingredients for Butterscotch Oatmeal

1 egg
1 3/4 cups skim milk
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1 cup rolled oats
2 tablespoons butter

Recipe Directions for Butterscotch Oatmeal

  1. In a heavy bottomed saucepan over medium heat, whisk the egg with milk, brown sugar, and cinnamon.

  2. Mix in oats; bring to a simmer.

  3. When the oats begin to boil, cook and stir with a wooden spoon until thickened.

  4. Remove from heat and stir in the butter until melted.

  5. Serve immediately
