Recipe Ingredients for Butternut squash soup

1 yellow onion
2 lb butternut squash
2 c water
1/2 t marjoram
1/4 t black pepper
1/8 t cayenne pepper
8 oz cream cheese
1 t safflower oil

Recipe Directions for Butternut squash soup

  1. Heat safflower oil and saute onions until crisp-tender.

  2. In a small slow cooker, add onions and all ingredents escept cream cheese.

  3. Cook 6-8 hours on low

  4. Place mixture into blender in 2-3 parts, mix on high until smooth and return to slow cooker.

  5. Add cream cheese, cook covered 30 min or until cheese melts, stiring with a whisk until smooth.
