Recipe Ingredients for Butternut Squash Soup

6 tbsp onion, chopped
4 tbsp margarine
6 cups butternut squash, peeled and cubed
4 cups chicken stock
1/2 tsp dried marjoram
1/4 tsp ground black pepper
1/8 tsp ground cayenne pepper
8 oz cream cheese

Recipe Directions for Butternut Squash Soup

Saute onions in margarine until tender. Add sqush, water, chicken stock, marjoram, black pepper and cayenne pepper. Briing to a boil. Cook 20 minutes or until squash is tender. Puree squash and cream cheese in a blender in batches until smooth. Return to saucepan and heat through. Do not allow to boil.
