Recipe Ingredients for butternut squash pear soup

4 cup, cubes Squash, Winter, Butternut
2 medium Onions
1 mL naturally preferred vegetable broth
4 pear, medium (approx 2-1/2 per lb) Pears
0.8 grams Thyme
1 tbsp Rosemary, Fresh

Recipe Directions for butternut squash pear soup

dice onions, place in pan with 2-4 tbsp. water, cover with lid and sweat. Add diced squash and pears; sweat those a little, too. Add broth, bring to boil; simmer until squash is tender 15-18 min. Puree with stick blender. Original recipe says to add a swirl of heavy cream when serving - a few razor thin bits of asiago or parmesan cheese is also interesting.
