onion and applies sliced thin. Calls for 4 tsp. of salt, I did 1/2 tsp. Squash already puree. May add 1/4 grated fresh ginger. Calls for adding spices at end.

Recipe Ingredients for Butternut Squash & Apple Soup

4 cup, cubes Squash, Winter, Butternut
1 medium raw Onion Yellow
1 tbsp Butter
1 large (3-1/4 Apples
2 cup Chicken Stock
1/5 oz Bay Leaves
1/2 tsp Sea Salt
1/4 tsp Spices Ground Coriander
1/4 tsp Spices Ground Coriander

Recipe Directions for Butternut Squash & Apple Soup

  1. Cook onions in butter until soft - about 10 minutes. Add onions and rest of ingredients to slow cooker

  2. Cook, covered for 2 hours. Remove bay leaves, add spices & puree with stick blender
