one cup servings, can also use mexican style tomatoes or chili or onion/garlic

Recipe Ingredients for butternut beef chili

3/4 lb butternut squash
3/4 lb beef, ground round
5 ounces onion, chopped
29 ounces tomatoes,
3/4 cup water
3/4 tsp cumin
3/4 tsp chili powder
16 ounces kidney beans
1 tsp garlic, minced

Recipe Directions for butternut beef chili

  1. 1. pierce squash and microwave 2 minutes, peel and cube. Set aside 1 1/2 cups

  2. 2. cook beef drain,

  3. 3. add vegetables and saute for 2 minutes

  4. 4. add squash, tomatoes, and remaining ingredients: bring to a boil. Cover, reduce heat and simmer 17 minutes or until squash is tender, stirring occaionally.
