Recipe Ingredients for Buttermilk Pancakes

2 cups bread flour
4 tbs butter
2 tbs extra virgin olive oil
1 tsp baking soda
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
2 cups buttermilk
3 eggs

Recipe Directions for Buttermilk Pancakes

  1. Seperate eggs

  2. add salt to eggs yolk and beat until golden yellow

  3. In seperate bowl, add 1 cup of buttermilk, baking soda and baking powder, blend well, let set for 5 minutes to "bloom"

  4. melt butter over low heat

  5. add melted butter and oil to beaten egg whites and blend

  6. add "bloomed" buttermilk to egg yoke and blend

  7. add remaining cup of buttermilk to yoke and blend

  8. add egg whites and blend

  9. slowly mix in bread flour
