Recipe Ingredients for Buttermilk Biscuits

2 1/2 cups flour
2 1/2 tsp Baking Powder
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp salt
2 sticks butter
1 cup buttermilk

Recipe Directions for Buttermilk Biscuits

  1. mix dry ingredients together

  2. cut the cold butter into the flour mixture until you get coarse crumbs.

  3. add the buttermilk and gently mix until the flour is mostly mixed in.

  4. pat the dough into a circle about 1 inch thick. cut the biscuits to the size of your choice and bake at 375 for about 20-25 minutes depending on the size of the biscuit.
