4 serving All Purpose Flour, 1/4 cup (Gold Medal)
3 serving Whole Wheat Flour, 1/4 cup (Gold Medal)
4 serving Baking Soda, Pure 1/8 tsp (Arm
8 serving BAking Powder, 1/8 tsp (Clabbergirl)
36 tsp unpacked Sugars, Brown
5 serving Butter, 1 tbsp (Land O Lakes)
2 large Egg, Whole
3 medium (7" to 7-7/8" long) Bananas
0.5 serving Buttermilk, Reduced Fat, 1 cup (Knudsen)
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
1.5 serving Pecans, halves 1/3 cup (Fresh and Easy)

Recipe Directions for Buttermilk-Banana Bread with Toasted Pecans

  1. At 350 F toast pecans for 8 min. Remove, let cool, and chop. Set aside.

  2. Mix dry ingredients in one bowl.

  3. Separately, beat sugar with butter with electric mixer, 3 min. Add one egg, beat well. Add the other egg, beat well. Beat in banana, buttermilk, and vanilla. Reduce speed to low and mix in dry ingredients. Stir in most of the pecans, place in coated 5x9 loaf pan. Top with remaining pecans. Bake at 350 F for 50-53 min.
