These are my husband's favorite bars so I cut some of the sugar and added some extra fiber to make them a little better for him!

Recipe Ingredients for Butterfinger Bars

1 1/2 cups margarine
1/2 cups sugar
1 cup Splenda
1/2 cup dry milk
1 1/2 cups brown sugar
3 medium eggs
1 cup peanut butter
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
2 1/2 cups flour
1/2 cups wheat bran
3 cups oatmeal
2 cups chocolate chips

Recipe Directions for Butterfinger Bars

  1. Cream together margarine, peanut butter, sugar, brown sugar and Splenda.

  2. Add eggs and mix well.

  3. Mix together all dry ingredients in a separate bowl. Save chocolate chips for later.

  4. Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture a little at a time.

  5. Pour into greased 12 x 17 bar pan.

  6. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes
