Low calorie and low fat version of a favorite Indian recipe.

Recipe Ingredients for Buttered Chicken

1000 grams Chicken Breast
3 cups Fat Free Yogurt
6 tbsp Tomato Paste
1 Onion
1 tbsp Ginger
1 tbsp Garlic
1/2 tsp Chili Powder
6 tbsp Masala
6 tbsp Coriander
3 tbsp Ground Cumin
1 tbsp Cardamom Pods
6 Peppercorns
1 cup Milk 1%
1/2 cup Water
1 tsp Olive Oil
1 tbsp Bay leaves

Recipe Directions for Buttered Chicken

  1. Combine spices, yogurt, and tomato paste together in a mixing bowl.

  2. Cut chicken into bit size pieces and add to mixture, coating the chicken.

  3. Chop the onion into small pieces and saute in olive oil over low heat until slightly cooked.

  4. Turn heat up to high and put chicken mixture into pan. Sear the chicken for about 5 min.

  5. Reduce heat to med and add water. Simmer for about 30 min.

  6. Add milk and continue to simmer for another 10 - 15 min.

  7. Serve over basmati rice with Naan bread.
