Recipe Ingredients for Butter Tart Filling (Marg's)

2 cups brown sugar
2 cups corn syrup
1/2 lb. butter
8 eggs
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
3 cups dark raisins

Recipe Directions for Butter Tart Filling (Marg's)

  1. In large saucepan mix together sugar and syrup. Bring to a boil and boil 5 mins. Add butter and let melt. Beat eggs in a large bowl and slowly add the hot butter/sugar mixture to the eggs. Add salt and vanilla.

  2. Place 1 heaping Tablespoon into each tart shell. Add hot mixture almost up to the top. Bake at 400F for 10-11 mins. until shell are lightly browned. Cool. Can be frozen. Reheat before serving.
