This recipe is for a bread maker on dough setting. However I have included basic oven instructions.

Recipe Ingredients for Butter Rolls

3/4 cup milk, 2%
1 tsp salt
1/4 cup water
1/4 cup butter, melted
1 egg
2 3/4 cup bread flour
2 tbsp sugar
2 tsp active dry yeast
1 egg, white

Recipe Directions for Butter Rolls

  1. all ingredients at room temperature

  2. Preheat oven to 350 degrees

  3. Mix whole egg, milk and butter beat well and set aside.

  4. Mix all dry ingredients together then mix with wet ingredients.

  5. knead dough into a ball for about 15-20mins on a floured cutting board.

  6. cover with towel and set in warm dry spot until dough doubles in size.

  7. once dough has risen punch it down and separate to be put in greased muffin pan.

  8. cover with towel again until dough has doubled in size.

  9. brush egg whites lightly over top of muffins. If you brush to hard the rolls will collapse. I've added this into the ingredients. If you don't want to add this subtract 5 calories per serving.

  10. bake for 30-35mins or until golden brown
