Butter nut squash and chick peas in Asian spices

Recipe Ingredients for Butter nut squash bengali style

18 grams rape seed oil
1 tsp, crumbled Bay Leaf
1 serving panch phoran
1 serving asafetida
2 serving dried chili
1 small Onions
1 1/10 grams Turmeric, Ground
2 grams Ground Cumin
1/2 tbsp Coriander Seed
1/4 tsp Sea Salt
1 serving Sugar Pure Cane
224 grams Squash, Winter, Butternut
240 grams Chick Peas
9 grams Indian Spices Garam Masala
1 tsp Fennel Seed
2 tsp Ginger Root

Recipe Directions for Butter nut squash bengali style

  1. Heat oil add a pinch of Asafoetida a bay leaf 1/2 tsp of pacnch poran 2 dried chillis and fry for a few minutes.

  2. Add onion stir and fry for a few minutes.

  3. Make a paste with two tsp of ginger paste, 1/2 tsp of turmeric 2 tsp cumin 1 tsp corriander salt and sugar to taste with a little water.

  4. Add the paste to the pan and cook for 2 minutes.

  5. Add the diced peeled squash with 200ml of boiling water cover and cook until tender.

  6. Add a can of drained chick peas (240 g) tsp garam masala and tsp ground fennel seed.

  7. Add more salt and sugar to taste also add more water if the mixture is dry.cook for 2 minutes and serve
