biscuit type dough, rolled, dipped in butter and baked

Recipe Ingredients for butter dips

1/2 cup butter
2 1/4 cups flour
3 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
3/4 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon sugar
1 cup milk

Recipe Directions for butter dips

  1. heat oven to 400 degrees

  2. melt butter in 10x14 baking dish

  3. sift dry ingredients

  4. add milk to dry ingredients mixing with a fork.

  5. roll out dough to 9x12 rectangle shape

  6. cut in half, then into 12 strips (making 24 sticks)

  7. roll each stick in melted butter and place in pan

  8. bake 20 min or until golden brown

  9. can also top with cinnamon sugar before baking

  10. or shredded cheese for variation
