This is made in the bread machine & the original recipe had vegetable oil, not apple sauce. It still works well. I have replaced with 1/2 whole wheat bread. The kids weren't as keen.

Recipe Ingredients for Buns (dinner rolls)

3 cups bread flour
2 1/4 tsp yeast
1 cup water
2 tbsp sugar
1/4 cup apple sauce
1/4 tsp salt

Recipe Directions for Buns (dinner rolls)

  1. Let Yeast proof, warm water (110 degrees) with Sugar.

  2. Add Flour & Salt, and apple sauce.

  3. Put on dough setting (about 1.5 hours)

  4. Cut & roll into 18 rolls. It's sticky, flour them a bit (more flour)

  5. Cover & let rise.

  6. Remove Cover.

  7. Bake in pampered chef stone (or glass dish) 25*-30 minutes at 350.
