Make & freeze. Used for spaghetti, lasagna, pizza. For ease of measuring this recipe uses 2 jars of pre-made sauce & 6 cans of tomatoes.

Recipe Ingredients for buggyhair's pasta sauce with spinach

1900 grams extra lean ground beef
375 grams onions, chopped
50 grams garlic, chopped
350 grams mushrooms, sliced
1400 grams pasta sauce President's Choice blue menu low fat tomato & basil
4776 grams tomatoes, diced, President's Choice blue menu no salt
5 grams oregano
5 grams thyme
3 pounds spinach, bagged, Fresh Express

Recipe Directions for buggyhair's pasta sauce with spinach

  1. Brown beef with onions and garlic.

  2. Place all ingredients in to a large stock pot and simmer for one hour.

  3. Cool.

  4. Portion into large zip-lock freezer bags. Freeze and use as needed.
