Recipe Ingredients for buggyhair's fettuccine alfredo

680 grams whole wheat fettuccine
5 liters water
750 grams skim milk
35 grams garlic, minced
3/4 teaspoon black pepper, freshly ground
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg, ground
200 grams Parmesan cheese, freshly grated
50 grams cream cheese, fat free
1 tablespoon flour

Recipe Directions for buggyhair's fettuccine alfredo

  1. Bring water to a boil.

  2. Cook pasta 8- 10 minutes or until to desired tenderness.

  3. Place milk and garlic in sauce pan. Bring to a low boil.

  4. Add seasonings and reduce setting to low.

  5. Add cheeses and flour. Whisk until sauce thickens.

  6. Drain pasta. Place into warmed bowl.

  7. Pour on sauce, toss & serve.
