Delicious spicy turkey burger. i use Caesar dressing because i dislike bleu cheese. :)

Recipe Ingredients for Buffalo Slaw Burger

1 tablespoon thinly sliced cabbage
1 tablespoon shredded apple
1 1/2 teaspoons Caesar salad dressing
2 1/4 teaspoons hot sauce
1/2 teaspoon ketchup
1/2 teaspoon butter, melted
1 1/2 teaspoons chopped red bell pepper
1 clove garlic, minced
1 1/2 teaspoons thinly sliced green onions
3/4 teaspoon unsweetened applesauce
1 dash salt
1 dash black pepper
1/4 pound ground turkey
1 teaspoon thinly sliced green onions
1 lettuce leaf
1 whole wheat hamburger bun

Recipe Directions for Buffalo Slaw Burger

  1. In a small bowl, combine slaw ingredients. In another small bowl, combine sauce ingredients. Set aside.

  2. In a large bowl, combine the burger ingredients. Shape into a burger.

  3. Preheat broiler. Broil burger 6 inches from the heat for 5-7 minutes on each side or until a meat thermometer reads 165F and juices run clear, basting occasionally with reserved sauce. Serve on lettuce-lined bun; top with 2-3 tablespoons slaw and sprinkle with remaining green onions.
