Spicy chilli made with bison steak and ground meat

Recipe Ingredients for Buffalo Chilli

4/5 pound bison, lean
0.56 pound bison, top sirloin
45 oz diced tomatoes
2 cups dry black beans
1 cup diced onions
3 tbs minced garlic
1 tsp salt
3 tbs chili powder
1 tsp cocoa powder
1 pinch ground coffee
1/2 tsp bay leave
1 tbs ground cumin
6 oz bud light beer
1 1/2 cups roasted peppers
1/2 cup tomatillo
1/2 cup chicken broth

Recipe Directions for Buffalo Chilli

  1. Soak beans as directed, then drain and rinse

  2. Brown ground bison

  3. Dice onions and garlic

  4. Chop and brown bison sirlion

  5. Sauté onions and garlic in same pan

  6. Deglaze pan with 1/2 can of light beer

  7. Transfer above ingredients to a dutch oven on low

  8. Add remaining ingredients

  9. Simmer on low 4 hours
