Very labor intensive, but worth it. Can be simplified with ready made chicken and pizza crusts.

Recipe Ingredients for Buffalo Chicken Pizza

1/2 lbs skinless, boneless chicken breast halves - cooked and cubed
1/4 cup butter, melted
2 ounce hot sauce
1 tsp pepper
1 tsp garlic powder
1/4 ounce active dry yeast
1 teaspoon white sugar
1 cup warm water (110 degrees F/45 degrees C)
2 1/2 cups bread flour
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon salt
2 cups Mexican Blend Cheese
5 1/4 oz condensed cream of chicken soup
56 grams bacon pieces
1 small red onion, sliced thinly
1/4 cup blue cheese

Recipe Directions for Buffalo Chicken Pizza

  1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees F (230 degrees C). While the oven is preheating, place the chicken breasts in a shallow baking dish. Cover with hot wing sauce, and allow to marinate at room temperature until the oven is hot.

  2. Bake the chicken in the sauce for 20 minutes. Cool and dice.

  3. In a medium bowl, dissolve yeast and sugar in warm water. Let stand until creamy, about 10 minutes.

  4. Stir in flour, salt and oil. Beat until smooth. Let rest for 5 minutes.

  5. Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface and pat or roll into a round. Transfer crust to a lightly greased pizza pan or baker's peel dusted with cornmeal.

  6. Spread the soup onto the pizza crust to within 1/4-inch of the edge. Top with the chicken, cheeses and bacon. Bake for 10 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the crust is golden.
