Recipe Ingredients for Buffalo Chicken Chili (revised/original by njjody)

1 tablespoon canola oil
2 pounds chicken breast, ground
1 large carrot, peeled and finely chopped
1 large onion, chopped
3 celery stalks, finely chopped
5 garlic cloves, chopped
1 tablespoon smoked paprika
1 4/5 g bay leaf
2 cups chicken broth
1/4 cup hot sauce
15 ounce tomato sauce
15 ounce tomatoes, crushed

Recipe Directions for Buffalo Chicken Chili (revised/original by njjody)

  1. Place a large pot over medium-high heat, add olive oil and butter. Once the butter has melted and pot is hot, add ground chicken. Brown it, using the back of a wooden spoon to break it up into small pieces, about 5-6 mnutes.

  2. Add carrot, onion, celery, garlic, paprika, bay leaf and some salt and pepper.

  3. Cook stirring frequently, for about 3-4 minutes.

  4. Add the chicken stock and scrape up any brown bits on bottom of the pot.

  5. Add the hot sauce, tomao sauce and crushed tomatoes, and bring to a bubble. Simmer for 8-10 minutes to let the flavors come together.
