Made with whole wheat flour, buckwheat flour and wheat bran

Recipe Ingredients for Buckwheat Bread

3 cups flour
3 cups whole wheat flour
1 cup buckwheat flour
1/2 cup wheat bran
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 tsp salt
5 tsp yeast
1/4 cup oil
1/4 cup vital wheat gluten
1 1/2 cups water

Recipe Directions for Buckwheat Bread

  1. Mix all ingredients (using instant yeast). Knead until smooth. Add extra water until very soft dough.

  2. Let rise until double.

  3. Shape into two loaves. Place in greased bread pans. Let rise until almost double.

  4. Bake in 350 oven 25-30 minutes or until done. Remove from pans immediately and cool on racks.

  5. Yield: 2 loaves, 10 slices each.
