Makes 6 servings



This is supposed to be a "low sodium" soup, so it may taste bland. Add salt if you can't handle it!

Recipe Ingredients for Bubba's Turnip-Chicken Soup

8 cups water
1 cup chicken
1 onion
2 turnips
1 sweet potato
1 red pepper
2 tsp garlic
3 small red potatoes
1 chicken boullion cube (for 1 cup liquid)
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp turmeric

Recipe Directions for Bubba's Turnip-Chicken Soup

Boil chicken in water with salt and boullion cube (pressure cooker 15 min). Remove meat, pour broth through strainer, place back on stove. Add all other ingredients except chicken to broth and cook on medium heat for about 15-20 minutes until pieces slide of fork (still a little firm). Add cut up chicken to soup and heat through. Serve. Makes about 6 servings at 1 1/2 cups each.
