Sauteed squash, onions & butter with splenda for sweetening

Recipe Ingredients for B's Squash

3 pounds yellow squash
1/2 medium yellow onion
1 tbs butter
1/2 tsp salt
3 tbs splenda no calorie
1 tsp salt
1 tbs splenda no calorie

Recipe Directions for B's Squash

  1. Cut squash into 1" slices and cook with 3 TBS Splenda and 4 generous shakes of salt (from original salt container). Fill pot about 1/2 full of water. Cook on high about 10 minutes until boiling, then turn down to 2 away from low. Cook about another 10 minutes until tender to fork.

  2. While squash is cooking, put 2 TBS butter and 1/2 onion chopped iin biggest Teflon skillet and saute until onion is clear.

  3. Drain squash in colander and put back in large pot to mash. Add mashed squash to sauteed onions. Cook for a while. Add 1 tsp salt and 1 TBS Splenda. Cook uncovered on low until water cooks out. Add more salt or Splenda to taste.
