Recipe Ingredients for Brussels Sprouts, Onion, Garlic, Sausage Stir Fry

1.5 cup Brussels Sprouts
1 medium raw Onion Yellow
4 cloves, raw Garlic
4 tbsp Vegetable Oil, Canola
2 serving Brown 'n Serve Maple 10 Fully Cooked Sausage Links
0.12 tbsp Marjoram, Dried
0.25 tsp, ground Basil, Dried
0.12 tsp Pepper, Red Or Cayenne
2 dash Salt, Table
0.5 lemon yields Lemon Juice

Recipe Directions for Brussels Sprouts, Onion, Garlic, Sausage Stir Fry

  1. In a 3-quart saucepan (with lid), heat the oil at medium heat.

  2. Add into the hot oil the onion and garlic pieces and saute until slightly soft.

  3. Add in the five small sausages (press separately into the onions and garlic), cover pot, and saute for about 5 minutes until sausages have softened, then uncover pot and cut each sausage into 4 pieces.

  4. Add in the washed and quartered Brussels sprout pieces, then stir all ingredients in the pot to mix well; sprinkle on the dried herbs and spices, then continue to cook at medium heat, covered. for five minutes Stir occasionally to blend all ingredients.

  5. Uncover pot, squeeze on the juice of one-half lemon, stir; change heat to low, cover, and simmer for five more minutes, then remove from heat.

  6. Serve warm.

  7. (Serving size is 10 ounces by weight or approximately cup by volume)
