Brussels sprouts with maple glaze

Recipe Ingredients for Brussels sprouts with maple glaze

2 lb Brussels sprouts
4 tsp butter
1/2 cup chicken broth
1 tbs maple syrup
1 tsp minced fresh thyme
1/8 tsp cayenne pepper
2 tsp cider vinegar

Recipe Directions for Brussels sprouts with maple glaze

  1. Instructions:

  2. Trim and halve Brussels sprouts. Brown in 2 tsp butter, 6 to 8 minutes. Stir in broth, 1/2 Tbs syrup, thyme, and cayenne. Cook over medium-low heat, covered, until sprouts are nearly tender, 6-8 min. Uncover and increase heat to medium high. Cook until liquid is nearly evaporated, about 5 min. Off heat, stir in remaining butter, syrup and the vinegar. Season with salt and pepper.
