Recipe Ingredients for Bruschetta Sauce

14 1/2 ounce diced tomatoes
5 tablespoons red wine
1/2 cup onion, chopped
4 teaspoons minced garlic
2 tablespoons fresh basil
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
2 teaspoons oregano

Recipe Directions for Bruschetta Sauce

  1. In a non-stick sauce pan, sauté onions and garlic lightly to begin releasing flavor. Add diced tomatoes, red wine, and spices, and chopped onion and cook over low to medium heat; stir occasionally. Watch carefully that it doesn't get so dry it burns.

  2. When the juices from the canned tomatoes are almost evaporated and the onions are soft, the sauce is done.
