yummy, gooey, one-egg brownies made with whole wheat flour

Recipe Ingredients for Brownies--not uber healthy

1 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup whole-wheat flour
1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp baking powder
1/2 cup chocolate chips
1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Recipe Directions for Brownies--not uber healthy

  1. melt butter in saucepan

  2. remove from heat

  3. stir in sugar, egg, vanilla

  4. beat in cocoa, flour (when using whole wheat flour, remove one or two tbsp from your 1/2 cup measure so the brownie won't be tough), salt and b. powder

  5. bake in square pan sprayed with non-stick spray at 350 for 25 minutes

  6. Lick the saucepan!! Yummo
