Recipe Ingredients for Brownie Waffles

1/4 cup semi sweet chocolate chips

120 grams Multi Purpose Baking Mix(1 3/4 cups Hodgson Mill)
2 tbsp sugar
3 tbsp vegetable oil
1 1/3 cups water

Recipe Directions for Brownie Waffles

  1. Heat waffle iron to its medium setting.

  2. In a medium-sized mixing bowl, sift together the baking mix, pecans, chocolate chips, cocoa and sugar.

  3. Add water and oil; mix with wire whisk just until large lumps disappear. Let batter rest for at least 5 minutes.

  4. Pour desired amount of batter into well greased waffle iron. Bake until indicator light goes off or until the steam stops.

  5. These also make amazing pancakes.

  6. You can top these however you like, but we used a little butter and powdered sugar.
