Warm and rich, the brown sugar gives a caramel flavor to the traditional hot cocoa. This is seasoned to my own liking, you can play with any of the elements to produce flavors more suited to your own. Remember to taste often!

Recipe Ingredients for Brown Sugar Cocoa

2 tbsp Cocoa, Dry Powder, Unsweetened, Processed
1/2 cup Milk, Fluid, 3.25% Milkfat
1/2 cup (8 fl oz) Water
1 dash Salt, Table
3 tbsp Brown Sugar
1/4 tsp Vanilla Extract

Recipe Directions for Brown Sugar Cocoa

  1. In a small saucepan combine water, milk, sugar, cocoa powder, and salt.

  2. Slowly bring to a simmer, stirring frequently.

  3. Remove from heat, add vanilla and serve.
