Healthy rice! Flavorful and filling.

Recipe Ingredients for Brown Rice

2 cups brown rice
1 tbs olive oil
2 tsp chicken bouillon
1 tbs salt
4 cups water

Recipe Directions for Brown Rice

  1. In a 2-4 qt pan, heat olive oil (but not too long because olive oil will start to smoke quikly). Add dry brown rice to oil and start mixing constantly in oil so that it is browned evenly for about 3-4 minutes, or until brown rice looks "sun tanned", but not burnt or scorched. In the last minute of browning, add about 1 clove of chopped garlic to infuse rice and oil. Add 4 cups of water then chicken bouillon, and salt. Once the water comes to a boil, cover rice with a lid and lower heat to low. Cook on low for about 40 minutes, or until rice is cooked with no water remaining.
