2 cup brown rice
1 cup onion
2 tbsp olive oil
1/2 tsp salt
4 cups water

Recipe Directions for Brown Rice and Onions, 1.13Kcal/g

  1. Add oil to a large (5.5quart or larger) stock pot over high heat. Add rice and stir to coat. Cook for a few minutes browning the rice. Add the diced onion and salt. Add the water.

  2. Bring to a rolling boil. Cover and reduce heat to simmer. Keep covered for 45 - 50 minutes. No peaking!
