This topping goes great on top of broiled or grilled tilapia. We use olive oil mayo, but you could use light, fat free or salad dressing to suit your needs or taste. The amounts listed are for one pound of fish. You can alter the bread crumb amount to make it the right consistency to stay on top of the fish.

Recipe Ingredients for Broiled Tilapia Parmesan Topping

1/4 cup parmesan cheese
2 tablespoons light margarine, softened
1 tablespoon mayonnaise
1 1/2 teaspoons mayonnaise
1 1/2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
1/8 teaspoon dried basil
1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 tablespoon chopped fresh chives
1/8 teaspoon celery salt
2 tablespoons bread crumbs

Recipe Directions for Broiled Tilapia Parmesan Topping

  1. Combine all ingredients.

  2. When broiling or grilling fish cook on first side, then turn.

  3. After turning spoon a serving of the toping onto the fish and finish cooking.
