6 ounce Beef, Top Loin, Separable Lean Only, Trimmed To 1/4" Fat
2 small onions, sliced
2 tbsp butter
2 tbsp light brown sugar

Recipe Directions for Broiled Steak with Carmelized Onions

  1. Slice onions into rings (if not already done) while melting butter in a frying pan. If needed, add 2 tbsps of olive or canola oil. Turn pan to low

  2. Add onion to pan and slowly cook them until clear. While cooking onions, turn on broiler and begin to broil steak. Flip once or twice during broiling. Time the steak will take to cook varies by thickness, check after 5 minutes on each side.

  3. To the onion pan add two tbsps brown sugar and stir. Allow the sugar to melt and coat the onions. When steak is done, cut into two palm sized pieces and top with onions.

  4. Serve hot with salad or other side dishes.
