Recipe Ingredients for broiled sea scallops with egg noodles

8 oz cooked egg noodles
1 cup frozen peas
2/3 cups heavy cream
1/2 cup dry white wine
1/4 cup chives, chopped
3/4 lb sea scallops, sliced
2 tbsp unsalted butter
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
2 tbsp water

Recipe Directions for broiled sea scallops with egg noodles

  1. Cook egg noodles for 5 minutes then add frozen peas and cook about 2 more minutes.

  2. Remove pasta and peas to platter and keep warm.

  3. cut scallops in half, horizontally, pat dry and add salt and pepper.

  4. Heat 12" heavy skillet over high heat.

  5. Add butter and cook on medium high until foam fades.

  6. Add scallops to skillet and fry on high about 1 minute per side.

  7. Remove scallops to platter of noodles and peas, keep warm.

  8. Add wine and water to skillet and deglaze about 2 minutes, scraping bits.

  9. Add cream and reduce by about 1/3.

  10. add chives and pour over scallops and egg noodles.

  11. Serve hot.
