Creamy Spiced Broccolli and Cauliflower

Recipe Ingredients for Brocolli and Cauliflower Spiced and creamy

1/2 bunch broccoli, chopped
1/2 head cauliflower, chopped
3 carrots, sliced thin
1 T extra virgin olive oil
1 tsp ginger
1 tsp cumin
1/2 tsp coriander
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1 dash red pepper flakes
1/2 cup sour cream
2 T cider vinegar
1 T honey or agave nectar

Recipe Directions for Brocolli and Cauliflower Spiced and creamy

  1. Steam the broccoli, cauliflower and carrots until just barely tender.

  2. In a large skillet, heat the salt, spices and red pepper flakes in oil until lightly browned.

  3. In a large bowl, whisk together the sour cream vinegar, honey or agave sweetener and the cooked spices.

  4. Add the vegetables and toss gently until well combined. Sprinkle the green onions and pine nuts on top.
