Recipe Ingredients for broccoli tomato side

1/2 cup low sodium chicken broth
2 tsp lemon juice
1 tsp cornstarch
1 garlic clove
4 tsp olive oil
12 cups broccoli, florets sliced
2 onions or shallots, sliced
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp sugar
4 ounces grape tomatoes, halved
2 tbsp basil, minced fresh
1 tbsp unsalted butter

Recipe Directions for broccoli tomato side

  1. combine chicken broth, 1 tsp lemon juice cornstarch and pepper in small bowl. set aside. combine garlic and 1 tsp oil in second bowl.

  2. heat 1 tbsp oil in skillet on med high heat until smoking. add broccoli, add salt and sugar. cook stirring 4 minutes. add onions and toss to combine continue to cook 4 to 6 min. until onions are cooked through.

  3. move broccoli to side add garlic mixture and cook 20 sec.stir to combine. add tomatoes.

  4. add chicken broth and stir to coat. add 2nd lemon juice. remove from heat and add butter. serve
