Broccoli, Tomato, and Pesto Pasta Salad (Pesto begins after the 2 T olive oil

Recipe Ingredients for Broccoli, Tomato, and Pesto Pasta Salad

4 oz rotini pasta, whole grain
2 c broccoli florets
1 c grape tomatoes
1/4 c red onion
1/4 c basil, fresh
2 T olive oil
1/4 c pine nuts
3 c basil, fresh
1 clove garlic
1/4 c Parmesan cheese
1/2 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper
1/4 c olive oil

Recipe Directions for Broccoli, Tomato, and Pesto Pasta Salad

  1. Boil water, add pasta and cook. Two minutes before the pasta is done, add the broccoli.

  2. Mix red onion, basil, 1/4 c pesto, and olive oil together. Add pasta and broccoli.
