Lighter version of cream of broccoli

Recipe Ingredients for Broccoli Soup

5 cup, chopped Broccoli
1/2 cup Spinach
1 cup Cream, Fluid, Half And Half
1 cup Chicken Stock
3 tbsp Butter
1/4 cup Gold Medal All Purpose Flour
1 small Onions

Recipe Directions for Broccoli Soup

Add broccoli, onion, spinach into pot with 2 cups water. Add 1 tsp. salt, 1/2 tsp. pepper and 1/8 tsp nutmeg. Bring to a boil, then simmer until tender. In another pot, melt butter. Add flour and stir well. Add broth and half and half. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly, for 2 minutes, until thickened. Add to cooked vegetables. Mix, and then puree.
