Recipe Ingredients for Broccoli and Rice Cheese Casserole

1 can cream of mushroom soup
2 cups fresh broccoli
3/4 cup onion
2 tblsp fresh garlic
4 ounces Velveeta cheese
2 ounce Havarti cheese
1/4 cup butter
1 cup white rice

Recipe Directions for Broccoli and Rice Cheese Casserole

  1. Steam the fresh broccoli and cook the rice as directed on the package. You can use instant rice if you want.

  2. Then put the butter in a saucepan over medium heat and add the onion. Sautee until the onions are caramelized.

  3. Empty the can of cream of mushroom into the casserole pan and mix in the white rice. Then add and mix the broccoli and onion. Lastly mix in the crumbled Velveeta cheese and place the two slices of havarti on top.

  4. Add salt and pepper to taste.

  5. Put the casserole in a preheated oven and cook for 30 minutes at 350 degrees.
