Recipe Ingredients for Broccoli Pasta with Garlic and Capers

12 oz pasta, dried, whole wheat
2 c broccoli florets
1 clove garlic, minced
1/2 tsp kosher salt
1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
1 tbsp capers, drained and rinsed
1/4 tsp crushed red pepper
1 oz shredded parmesan cheese

Recipe Directions for Broccoli Pasta with Garlic and Capers

  1. Prepare pasta according to directions, adding broccoli to boiling water in the final minute of cooking time. Drain.

  2. Meanwhile, in large bowl, mash minced garlic with salt. Add olive oil, capers and red pepper. Stir to combine. Add pasta and broccoli to bowl. Toss to coat. Top with parmesan cheese.
