A healthier version of Mac n Cheese

Recipe Ingredients for Broccoli Cheddar Pasta

300 grams dry penne
2 tbsp. butter
16 grams all-purpose flour
1/3 cup chicken broth
1/2 cup cream
85 grams shredded cheddar
80 grams broccoli

Recipe Directions for Broccoli Cheddar Pasta

  1. Cook pasta.

  2. Melt butter; stir in flour, and season with onion powder, salt, and pepper. Add broccoli, 1 1/2 cups chicken broth and 1/2 cup cream. Cook and stir until slightly thickened and bubbly. Stir in cheese until melted.

  3. Add cooked pasta. Let sit for ten minutes (sauce will thicken as it sits).
