Homemade quiche in flakey pie crust

Recipe Ingredients for Broccoli/ cheddar/ onion Quiche

1 cup flour
4 ounces butter
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp sugar
1 tbsp mustard
1 cup broccoli
2 cloves garlic
6 onions
3 eggs
1 pinch black pepper
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Recipe Directions for Broccoli/ cheddar/ onion Quiche

  1. Preheat over to 180 Celcius.

  2. Using flour and nearly all the butter (set 1 tbsp aside for later) make pie crust.

  3. Lay pie crust on wax paper lined pie pan. Next, take dijon mustard and throughly coat pie crust. Using a fork, poke holes throughout entire pie crust to allow steam out during baking.

  4. On stove top use 1 tbsp butter and fry all onions until browned and carmelized. Add broccoli and garlic, cook until finished and all flavors are combined. In separate bowl crack open three eggs and stir to combine egg whites and yolk.

  5. Pour vegetable stir fry on mustard coated pie crust. Combine shredded cheddar cheese with three eggs. Pour egg/ cheddar mix on top of vegetable stir fry.

  6. Put prepared ingredients into the oven and bake for 1 hour.

  7. Pull out of the oven and insert fork to test that the quiche is finished and that the eggs are solid.

  8. Allow to cool for up to 30 minutes.

  9. slice and serve.

  10. Suggested to serve with side of vegetables.
