Enjoy a low-fat, no-meat version of a favorite fast food with these veggie burgers, chock-full of broccoli, red onion, and toasted almonds.

Recipe Ingredients for Broccoli Burgers

2 large eggs, lightly beaten
1 3/4 cups broccoli, finely chopped
1/2 cup almonds, chopped and toasted
3/4 cup red onion, finely chopped
2/3 cup seasoned fine dry bread crumbs
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper

Recipe Directions for Broccoli Burgers

  1. In a large bowl, combine eggs, broccoli, almonds, red onion, bread crumbs and 1/4 cup water.

  2. On an oiled 12 x 15 inch baking sheet, shape mixture into 6 equal patties, each about 3/4 inch thick.

  3. Bake patties in a 375 degree oven, turning halfway through baking, until golden on both sides, about 25 minutes.

  4. Serve on toasted hamburger buns.
